The James Allen Community Orchestra (Conductor Rupert Bond, Pianist Mark Bebbington) will perform Alan Bush's Variations. Nocturne, and Finale on an English Sea Song for Piano and Orchestra Op. 60 (1962) at a concert
at St John's, Smith's Square in London on Saturday 13th September 2003 at 7.30pm.
The Concert - "For those in peril on the sea" - is in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) and all the works share a sea theme. Rebecca de Pont Davies (mezzo soprano) will also feature in the programme.
